Idol group 2PM is broadening their horizons in Japan. The boys recently wrapped up their ‘SIX BEAUTIFUL DAYS‘ concerts held at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, Japan. Though there have been a number of Hallyu artists that have performed at the elite venue, 2PM was the first to perform for 6 days at once. All 60,000 seats for the shows had completely sold out, once again proving the boys’ explosive popularity in the local area.

The Gaon Chart is the national chart of South Korea and is intended to be the equivalent of Oricon in Japan and Billboard in the United States.

With the goal of expanding outside of South Korea, companies no longer look for just star potentials in their home country but have grown to accept those of other nationalities. Nevertheless, appearance is still an important factor when it comes to selecting trainees. There is a specific look that is favored in Korea, and that is an innocent and pure beauty like SNSD’s YoonA and miss A’s Suzy. Earlier today, 2PM’s Taecyeon reassured his fans that he was recovering well from his recent surgery and that he was discharged from the hospital. On May 22, he tweeted, “Surgery went well, and I am finally leaving the hospital after five days. So many things have happened since [being admitted to the hospital]. My new song, as well as news of Wooyoung’s solo activities, came out.”
