[News] 2PM’s “Masquerade” ranks #1 for the second week on Japan’s Tower Records charts

2PM‘s 5th Japanese single “Masquerade” seems to be experiencing unending popularity.

The song was released on the 14th, and debuted at #2 on the Oricon Charts. It took the #1 place at the Tower Records previously, and is continuing its high streak this week as well, keeping the #1 spot for the 2nd week. In the Oricon Singles Chart, it continued to stay within the top 5, fluctuating between 4th and 3rd places.

It is rare to hear of an artist staying within the top 5 two weeks after their song is released, and so the group’s feat demonstrates their continued growth in popularity in Japan. They had previously set a record at the Tower Records with their single “Beautiful“, so fans are looking forward for another another feat to add to the list.

Not only so, but 2PM’s Arena Tour in January has been completely sold out, and thus limited view seats have been opened up for sale as well due to all the demand.
