[News] Can 2PM’s Ok Taecyeon Become Song Joong Gi 2.0? Rumors of Starring in Lee Kyung Hee’s New Drama


Will 2PM's Taecyeon land a role in writer Lee Kyung Hee's new work?

According to multiple sources, there is discussion of casting Taecyeon in the next drama to follow KBS 2TV's "King's Family." Writer Lee Kyung Hee's new work will be the story of the lives of 3 families, and is expected to be a family drama. There's discussion as to whether Taecyeon will be joining Lee Sun Jin and Kim Hee Sun for this project.

One rep said, "Since there's still a lot of time left until the airing date, it's difficult to say that Taecyeon is confirmed for this role. But the discussions are going positively."

Writer Lee Kyung Hee has written famous works such as KBS' "The Innocent Man," "I'm Sorry, I Love You," "A Love to Kill," "Kokji," and MBC's "Thank You." Stars such as Song Joong Gi, So Ji Sub, and Won Bin have risen to stardom after acting in Lee Kyung Hee's works. There is interest as to whether Taecyeon will make it as an acting idol by taking part in Lee Kyung Hee's new drama.

Taecyeon's agency, JYP Entertainment, stated, "Currently we are positively considering Lee Kyung Hee's new drama," and "We are adjusting schedules and other details."

Lee Kyung Hee's new work is expected to air after "King's Family" is concluded, sometime in February next year.
