[News] 2PM Receives An Unprecedented Fan Welcome In Guangzhou, China

2PM were greeted by over 2,000 fans when they arrived at the airport in Guangzhou, China on Friday for their March 30 concert.

The fans at the airport had reportedly arrived very early in the morning to wait and try to catch a glimpse of their favorite idols' arrival. It was so crowded inside that it was difficult to move and the sounds of cheers from screaming Chinese fan girls was deafening.

The chaotic situation at the arrival gate was so intense that each of the members had to exit individually to secure their safety. Nichkhun seems to have suffered the most extreme fan rush, as seen in a lot of fan videos.

Later that day 2pm held a press conference that included 300 lucky fan guests.

Saturday night, the guys took to the stage at the Guangzhou Gymnasium in front of an impressive audience of 9,000. The Chinese fans cheered, danced, and sang along with their favorite 2PM hits and were especially touched when Taecyeon sang a Chinese children's song for the audience to show appreciation for their devoted fans in the country.

March 31, when 2PM headed back to the airport to return to Korea, they were surprised to find about 1,500 fans gathered again to send them off. This time, however, the group had organized themselves and, while still very loud, were not nearly the same mob seen just two days before. The fans sang a song as a thank you to the Korean idol group and bid them a fond farewell.

After leaving the great fans of China, 2PM said, "We were surprised and thankful for the passionate love Guangzhou fans showed us. It was a great performance where we were able the feel love and passion. Thank you again."

2PM's 2013 Asia tour 'What Time Is It?' Will end this month in Bangkok, Thailand after successful shows in Guangzhou as well as the Philippines.

The recent fan response in China proves that 2PM is one the the K-Pop acts with high potential to become a worldwide sensation. Last month, the teasers for their upcoming comeback album were shown in New York City and London. Will 2013 be the year of 2PM?
